Skill Shot Golf questions, answered
Rules, eligibility, downloads, and verification before your tee shot.
What is Skill Shot Golf?
Skill Shot is a par 3 skill competition app. You play real holes, record verified tee shots, and compete in Tournament Mode against other golfers for leaderboard points and cash prize pools — not luck-based casino games.
How does Tournament Mode work?
Browse free or paid tournaments in the app, join one on a qualifying par 3, and take your shot(s). You earn points by tier — on the green, within the flagstick, or hole-in-one — until the event closes. Formats vary (single shot, best-of-3, etc.), and prize pools may pay top finishers or split by entries. See How to play for the full flow.
How do shot tiers and points work?
Every tournament uses the same three outcomes: on the green (base tier), within the flagstick (higher), and hole-in-one (highest). Higher tiers add more points toward your leaderboard rank.
What are the shot capture rules?
Each attempt needs a continuous video with your unique ball code, proper framing, and green verification when you score. Full requirements are in the Shot Capture Guide.
Why are some par 3 holes not eligible?
Only par 3s with a direct line of sight from the tee box to the green qualify. Elevated greens, severe back slopes, or obstructed views are not eligible — confirm line of sight in the app before you record.
How does Skill Shot verify my shot?
Submit your video through your tournament entry. Our review team checks capture rules and assigns the correct tier (on the green, flagstick, or ace) before scores post to the leaderboard.
Where can I play Skill Shot?
Participating par 3 courses are listed across 49 U.S. states — use the in-app map to find holes near you. In South Dakota, Arkansas, and Pennsylvania, only free tournaments are available today; paid entry is offered in other active states.
What is QuickPlay?
QuickPlay is coming soon: wager on a single par 3 tee shot without waiting for a tournament window to close, with the same verified capture standards. See How to play for a preview.
